With automatic input switching and integrated display control, the OME-SW21-TX eliminates the need for control panels or remotes. When an instructor connects a laptop via USB-C or HDMI, the switcher detects the active input and powers on the display. Once the presentation is over and the laptop is disconnected, the display shuts down automatically. The system even supports occupancy sensing using the Atlona AT-OCS-900N, providing added automation that reduces energy waste and unnecessary device use.
All-in-One AV and USB Over a Single Cable
Classrooms today often require seamless integration with USB peripherals like cameras, touch displays, and conferencing bars. The OME-SW21-TX extends USB 2.0 over HDBaseT up to 330 feet, allowing it to interface with devices connected to a compatible receiver such as the AT-OME-CS31-SA-HDBT. It also includes a built-in USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with host switching, letting instructors connect their devices and instantly access room peripherals—all over a single cable.
The built-in USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub not only enables host switching and device access but also supports integration with Atlona’s USB-EX350-KIT for USB 3.0 extension. While two cables are required to extend both AV and USB 3.0 signals, this setup allows both solutions to be bridged within a single box for simplified system design.

Sized to fit into desks, lecterns, or wall plates, the OME-SW21-TX provides localized input access where instructors need it most. For wall plate installations, the OME-SW21-TX-WPC is the ideal version. This flexibility eliminates clutter and allows centralized routing to the display, amplifier, and other components mounted at the back of the room. It’s PoE powered over HDBaseT or optionally powered locally to support USB-C laptop charging up to 60 watts.
