Velocity™ Room Scheduling
Velocity room scheduling is designed to provide information on the current status of meeting spaces as well as upcoming events. Integration with several popular calendar applications allows schedules to be displayed on Velocity touch panels installed at the entrance of each room. The touch panels utilize color coded GUI’s and bezel LED lighting, if equipped, to indicate whether a room is available or busy, so users can easily see meeting space status from down the hall. Ad hoc reservation capability allows the user to reserve a meeting for an unoccupied room right at the display panel, without having to access the calendar system from their personal device.
Overview
Hardware or Software Server Deployment
At the heart of each scheduling system is a Velocity gateway which manages communications between calendar services and the touch panel endpoints. Gateways are available as either a hardware appliance or as software designed for hosting on standard IT server infrastructure. The Velocity gateway directly interfaces with all devices over the network, reducing components and simplifying cabling.
Touch Panels and User Interfaces
All Velocity 5.5″, 8″, and 10″ touch panels are compatible with room scheduling. Bezel LED lighting is available on select 8″ and 10″ models. The scheduling graphical user interface, or GUI, is customizable. Add a logo and change colors to suit the installation. Make ad hoc room reservations and check schedules for other rooms directly on the touch panel.
Centralized Calendar Management
Communications with popular calendar services are centrally managed on the Velocity gateway, as opposed to each endpoint, for greater efficiency. We currently support calendar integration for Google Workspace™, Office 365™, Microsoft Exchange®, and Astra Schedule, with more coming soon.
AV Control Included
Velocity is the only solution that natively supports both AV control capabilities and room scheduling on a single platform. It’s IP-based system architecture allows a gateway to manage multiple rooms of control and scheduling. Scheduling panels can display an AV control QR code, allowing users to control the room from their BYOD device.
Velocity Components
Velocity Hardware Gateway
The AT-VGW-HW series are Velocity hardware server gateways that provide multiple rooms of IP-based AV control and room scheduling. Each gateway also includes the Atlona Management System (AMS™) for configuring and managing Atlona devices over the network, BYOD control at no extra cost, and Velocity Cloud Lite remote management. Three versions available for AV control of up to 3, 10, or 20 rooms and scheduling up to 6, 20, or 40 rooms respectively.
Velocity Software Gateway
The AT-VGW-SW is a Velocity software server gateway that is designed for hosting on standard IT server infrastructure, and provides multiple rooms of IP-based AV control and room scheduling. The gateway also includes the Atlona Management System (AMS) for configuring and managing Atlona devices over the network, BYOD control at no extra cost, and Velocity Cloud Lite remote management. VGW-SW provides AV control for up to 20 rooms and scheduling up to 40, with support for additional rooms available through with AT-VRL-SW licenses.
Velocity All-In-One 10” Touch Panel with Gateway
The Atlona AT-VTPG-1000VL is a 10” touch panel with integrated Velocity gateway. This all-in-one touch panel solution simplifies configuration and deployment for installations that only require AV control and scheduling for a single room. It features contemporary, refined styling with 1280×800 native resolution, and a capacitive glass surface. Bright LED lighting surrounding the edge of the panel is ideal for providing a visual representation of room status or for adding emphasis to AV control functions.
Velocity 10″ Touch Panel
The AT-VTP-1000VL is a 10” touch panel that provides additional space for more complex user control applications. Bright LED lighting surrounding the edge of the panel is ideal for providing a visual representation of room status in scheduling applications or for adding emphasis to AV control functions. Glass and universal one-gang wall mount included.

The AT-VSP-800 is a 8” room scheduling and AV control touch panel with integrated bezel lighting. Bright LED lighting on the edge of the bezel is ideal for providing a visual representation of room status in scheduling applications or for adding emphasis to AV control functions.
