SFP+ Fiber Optic Transceiver Module

The Atlona AT-SFP-PLUS-10GE-SR is an SFP+ (small form factor pluggable) fiber optic transceiver module. It fits into the SFP+ cage of Atlona products with SDVoE technology, such as the PRO5 Series. The SFP-PLUS-10GE-SR allows long-distance 10GbE connectivity up to 300 meters (980 feet) with OM3 multi mode fiber-optic cable.

Applications

  • Long distance extension – Atlona compatible devices with the SFP-PLUS-10GE-SR modules can extend 4K/60 4:4:4 video over distances well-exceeding the 100-meter capability over copper 10GbE cable.
  • Existing fiber optic cabling – The availability of unused fiber in a facility’s cable plant, also known as dark fiber, can be an appealing option for integrators without having to pull new cable for an AV system installation.
