Dual HDMI and VGA/Audio to HDBaseT Switcher Transmitter
The Atlona AT-HDVS-TX is a 3×1 HDBaseT™ switcher transmitter for HDMI and VGA transmission with display control over category cable. It features two HDMI inputs plus a VGA input with 3.5mm audio connector. The transmitter combines the benefits of a switcher with built-in auto switching and the advantages of long-distance signal extension over a single cable. AV signals up to 1080p/60Hz and 1920×1200 video with embedded multi-channel audio and control signals can be extended up to 230 feet (70 meters). The flexible transmitter can work off a local power supply but also supports Power over Category cable (PoCc) to either receive remote power from a receiver or provide power to a remote receiver. Designed for use with the AT-HDVS-RX receiver, the transmitter/receiver pair enables auto display on/off, auto-switching, 3rd-party control, and other features. The AT-HDVS-TX is ideal for long distance transmission and display control in corporate or educational settings using analog and digital sources.
Note: To eliminate unnecessary waste from installations using remote switcher-based powering methods, all AT-HDVS-TX units marked as “Revision E” (June 2015), or later, will no longer include a power supply. Optional AT-PW24V2.7A-CAPT 24 Volt 2.7 Amp power supplies are available for installations not utilizing Atlona switchers.

Analog to Digital Transition
The Atlona HDVS series was designed to smooth the transition from analog to digital displays, allowing advanced HDMI display devices to be used with legacy VGA sources. The series also adds the simplicity and performance of HDBaseT technology to eliminate multiple cable runs and signal degradation that can occur with long transmission lines. Cost-effective and easy-to-terminate category cable provides additional integrator and benefits.
The AT-HDVS-TX offers auto-switching between both HDMI and VGA inputs. HDBaseT and power over category cable (PoCc™) allow the sources to be up to 230 feet (70 meters) from the display. A single category cable carries both signal, control, and power. Combined with AT-HDVS-RX, display power is easily controlled with the transmitter. Auto Display On/Off eliminates the need for a control system.
Benefits when used with AT-HDVS-RX
- Auto display On/Off
- Auto input switching
- HDCP management for use with teleconference systems
- Set preferred input resolution for both VGA and HDMI sources
- PoCc to eliminate the power supply at the transmitter
- Enables display control from transmitter
- RS-232 input selection from 3rd party controller
- Easy to use software simplifies RS-232 programming
Integrates with CLSO Series Switchers for complex systems
The AT-HDVS-TX is designed for use with the AT-UHD-CLSO-612 in rooms where multiple input zones are required. Two zones, each with an AT-HDVS-TX, provide two HDMI and one VGA input auto-switched to an HDBaseT output for routing to the AT-UHD-CLSO-612 which provides power to the transmitter using PoCc to simplify system installation. This greatly expands the capability of a CLSO-based AV system.
