The Premium Extender for Residential Systems

The Atlona Centum™ 301 CEA (AT-CENT-301-CEA) is a premium HDBaseT™ extender pair for high dynamic range (HDR) formats. The kit is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports 4K/UHD video @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, as well as HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps. It provides HDMI transmission up to 330 feet (100 meters) over category cable with embedded multi-channel audio, Ethernet pass-through, RS-232 and IR control, and Power over Ethernet. The Centum 301 CEA features visually lossless VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) to enable HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 video signal extension over HDBaseT. It also supports the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) with the ability to transmit digital audio from a television back to the transmitter, and then to an AV receiver via HDMI or a TOSLINK digital audio output.

Supports HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 Video Content

The Centum 301 CEA is ideal for applications requiring the latest as well as emerging 4K/UHD and HDR sources and displays. It is compatible with all video resolutions, audio formats, and color space formats supported in the HDMI 2.0a specification, plus the ability to pass metadata for HDR content. The Centum 301 CEA includes EDID management features, LED indicators for power and signal status, and remote PoE powering for the receiver.

VESA Display Stream Compression

HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 video content requires data rates exceeding 10 Gbps and up to 18 Gbps – a significant challenge for extending signals over HDBaseT. The Centum 301 CEA provides an innovative solution with DSC, a visually lossless video compression technology developed by VESA. DSC applies extremely light compression (1.5:1 or less), allowing transmission of HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 over a single category cable while ensuring very high, pristine image quality. DSC is currently used for embedded display interfaces in mobile devices with high resolution screens.

Receiver to Transmitter Audio Return Pathway

The Centum 301 CEA provides a dedicated audio return pathway from a television to an AV receiver via HDBaseT 2.0 technology, and the option of using the ARC or TOSLINK digital audio connections. This capability makes it easy and convenient to integrate audio from over-the-air TV broadcasts and smart TV apps.

Configured and Managed by AMS

The Centum 301 CEA is configured, controlled, and managed using the Atlona Management System (AMS), a powerful network software platform that integrates product configuration, status monitoring, and firmware updates. Specially designed for IP-controllable Atlona products, AMS reduces installation time and enables remote monitoring and support of multiple Atlona devices over a network.
