Atlona Unveils Its First Series of HDMI over HDBaseT™ Extenders With 4K/UHD Capability and HDCP 2.2

AMSTERDAM, Feb. 10, 2015 -- Rejuvenating one of its most popular product lines with leading-edge technology, Silicon Valley-based Atlona announced a new generation of HDMI signal extenders for long distance and extended distance transmission, all featuring 4K/UHD capability and HDCP 2.2 copy protection pass-through. The new UHD-EX Series of extenders consists of four pairs of transmitters and receivers, all employing HDBaseT technology, with a range of models that offer increasing levels of features including 70- or 100-meter signal extension of video, multi-channel audio, 48-volt Power over Ethernet, and bidirectional Ethernet, IR, and RS-232, all over a single category cable.  Read more

AMSTERDAM, Feb. 10, 2015 -- To simplify the use of HDMI sources such as Blu-ray players and set-top boxes into professional sound systems, Atlona today introduced the industry’s first 4K-compatible converter which extracts and down-mixes Dolby and DTS audio tracks and provides balanced analog audio output in stereo or mono. The new AT-UHD-M2C-BAL, which also features a web-based interface allowing remote control over mode, volume and EQ, processes audio content while allowing 4K/UHD video, in any resolution format, to pass through from the source to a display, extender, switcher, or other component. AMSTERDAM, February 10, 2015 -- Expanding its line of multi-format AV switchers for commercial, hospitality and education use, Atlona introduced the AT-UHD-CLSO-601, a six-input, 4K/UHD @ 30Hz switcher with built-in 4K scaling and mirrored HDBaseT and HDMI outputs.
